O mundo do Wrestling foi abalado na passada quarta-feira pela triste notícia do falecimento de Rocky “Soul Man” Johnson, uma lenda dos ringues, WWE Hall of Famer e pai de Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Só dois dias depois da morte do seu pai é que The Rock conseguiu vir até às redes sociais para prestar uma homenagem ao mesmo. O ator de Hollywood publicou um vídeo de 1984, de um combate de Rocky Johnson & Tony Atlas contra outra equipa, onde ele aparece, ainda em criança, sentado no público.

O vídeo foi acompanhado por bonitas palavras de The Rock, em jeito de “adeus” ao seu pai Rocky Johnson.

Entretanto, dois dias depois, já este domingo, The Rock voltou a recorrer à sua conta de Instagram e desta vez publicou um vídeo mesmo seu, com quase 8 minutos. Resumidamente, o ex-lutador da WWE agradeceu todo o apoio que tem recebido por parte dos fãs, que têm sido incansáveis a enviar-lhe mensagens de força nesta fase.

Para além disso, Dwayne Johnson também confirmou as causas da morte do seu pai. O “People’s Champ” revelou que o seu pai já não se sentia bem há alguns dias, e que lutava contra uma gripe e uma infeção. Na terça-feira sofreu uma trombose venosa profunda, que foi essencialmente um coágulo de sangue na perna. Uma quantidade de sangue antigo viajou pelo corpo e foi direto ao pulmão. O resultado de tudo isto foi um ataque de coração.

No vídeo, The Rock também revelou que infelizmente foi tudo tão rápido que nem teve oportunidade de se despedir como deve ser do seu pai…
